Mandarin Duck — The Symbol Of Love

Mandarin duck, like North American Wood Duck, is a mid-size roosting duck with 41-49cm long and 65-75 cm wingspan. The male and female Mandarin duck is dimorphous species. The appearance of male and female is different. The male Mandarin duck is rich in appearance with brown cheeks, dark and purple chest, brown and white crown sweeping back from the top of the head, brown wings with a chatoyant blue-green edge. The female got a white eye-ring and stripes which runs from the eye and a small white flank stripe with a pale tip to its bill.

The specialty of mandarin duck is we can see the male and female always together as they always occur in pairs. According to chinese it is hard to survive if they got separated. The relation of mandarin duck is a good example in our life.

This awing love some creatures symbolise the love, fidelity, romance, affection, devotion and togetherness in a relationship. Also, for the loving couples there is proverb like “Two mandarin ducks playing in water”. Mandarin Ducks is a well known part in feng shui. It helps to give a good luck in ones love life. A pair of mandarin duck is a powerful remedy to attract and enhance love and relationship.
